GHS Class of 2013 Dan Henley - Teacher of the Year 2012-2013 Congratulation to the GHS Solar Boat 2013 for taking first place in their division for all of the following categories: sprint race, endurance race, technical report, public service message and best overall score for incoming Freshman Team. Important Reminders from GHS

Tutorial

Reminder for students and parents that GHS has a tutorial period available period from 8:05am until 8:30am for students to get extra help in their classes.  All students are expected to access the tutorial period if they are earning a "C" grade or below, have missed a portion or all of a class period or need extra assistance from their teacher.

Scholarship Opportunities

The following scholarship opportunities are available to GHS students.  If you have questions about these opportunities please contact Asssitant Principal, Jamie Norell at ext. 204.

GUSD / ACSA Speech Contest

The Glendora Unified School District and Glendora Leadership Association is offering a High School Speech Contest on February 15, 2013 at 3:00pm in the GHS Little Theater. Contests will give a three minute speech on the topic of 21st Century Learning with an opprontunity of earning up to $100 at the local level and up to $500 at the regional level.  Contestants should sign up with Mrs. Norell by February 13, 2013.

Rotary Essay

The George R. Hensel Ethics Essay Contest  awards up to $3,000.00.  The essay is due by February 28, 2013 to Jamie Norell's Office.

Rotary Music

The Dan Stover Memorial Music Competition awards up to $5,000.00.  Senior students are eligible to compete with a musical instrument.  Applications are due by Friday, January 18th to Keith Hilliard 931 E. Leadora, Glendora, CA 91741 or to Jamie Norell's Office.
