Dr. Courtney Corona
Dean of Student Support
Dr. Corona is starting her first year as a Glendora Tartan. This is her fourteenth year in education. Prior to becoming the Dean at Glendora High School she was a mathematics teacher at West Covina High School and Diamond Bar High School as well as an Adjunct Mathematics Professor at Azusa Pacific University. Having taught various levels of mathematics courses her passion has always been teaching intervention style classes and supporting students to help them believe they have the ability to be successful in mathematics.
Dr. Corona has received all three of her degrees from Azusa Pacific University; a Bachelors in Mathematics, a Masters in Education, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. The focus of her dissertation was the impact on student success in mathematics classes when using graphing calculators. This was in line with her belief that all students can be successful in mathematics. This same belief is translated into Dr. Corona’s work at Glendora High School as she believes with proper support, all students can find success in education.
